Following from previous years success, CMbE competed in this years Bradford Dragon Boat Festival bringing home the winners trophy.
This weekend Team CarnaudMetalbox Engineering – Blades of Glory, took to the water at this year’s Dragon Boat festival. The event was a huge success with the team bringing home the winners trophy on Saturday! Through sponsorship alone an impressive £4,000 has been raised for Lord Mayors Appeal.
The ‘Blades of Glory’ also achieved the fastest racing time overall. A special thank you to the Yorkshire Sharks Dragon Boat Club for the dedicated training on the canal, the hard work paid off!
The event, which raises money for charitable causes, usually takes place in June but was postponed due to Covid restrictions. The event is a fun family festival, Adrenalin fuelled dragon boat racing on the water, and land side attractions for the whole family. Designed as a free to spectate festival, the event is organised by the community of Bradford for the community of Bradford.
